A Note of Thanks and a Difficult Update (Greater Manchester)
Yesterday, Saturday, December 6th, 2025, our family—my Mum, Dad, brother, and I—experienced a severe house fire. It was a terrifying ordeal where we all narrowly escaped, and I honestly nearly lost my life.
Due to the intense black smoke, my brother was placed in critical care. While we are a strong family, this has affected every one of us mentally, and we are just beginning to process the trauma.
We have sadly lost everything we own. The thought of starting completely over is overwhelming, but we are facing it together.
In this moment of crisis, we have been overwhelmed by the kindness of our community and emergency services. We want to extend our deepest, heartfelt thanks:
• The Greater Manchester Fire Service: For your incredible bravery, speed, and professionalism. You saved our lives.
• The Police and Ambulance Service: For your immediate response and care during such a critical time.
• Our Wonderful Neighbours: Thank you for your selfless support and kindness in the immediate aftermath.
• My Sister, her Husband, and my Nephew: my friends who was ringing making sure I was ok You have been our absolute rock, providing immediate shelter and unconditional support. We could not navigate this without you.
We are taking things day by day. Thank you to everyone for your ongoing thoughts and kindness
