Richard was rescued from a kill shelter and should have been given the chance to rest and feel safe. Instead, just days after his rescue, he began to decline rapidly. Much like CJ recently, Richard stopped eating and became lethargic. When his symptoms began to mirror CJ’s - and given that the other pup had been in the same room with Richard and was diagnosed with pneumonia - our fear skyrocketed.
