Blessington Community First Responder Unit

Tulfarris Hotel & Golf Resort is hosting a Christmas Jumper Day with staff on the 13th and 14th of December to raise funds in support of the Blessington Community First Responder Unit. About Blessington Community First Responders Unit:

The Blessington Community First Responder Unit is a registered charity and was setup in 2005. They are a 100% voluntary group providing 24/7 quick response to a range of Respiratory, Cardiac and medical emergencies. Based in Blessington they cover the surrounding villages within a 10K radius. So far in 2024 they have attended 68 calls at the request of the National Ambulance Service. They also aim to provide basic first aid training to community groups and members of the public including CPR and defibrillator use. To date they have held many public courses training 1,873 members of the community in basic lifesaving skills such as CPR and how to use one of the 22 public access defibrillators in the community.

Donations such as this secures the future of the unit and allows for the purchase of the most up to date equipment and training aids such as the recently purchased infant QCPR training manikins, so they can continue to provide the best level of care to our community. Your donation will allow us them continue to expand and maintain the community’s many public access defibrillators and provide training for members of the public in their use. Their commitment is that every Euro donated will go back into our community.
