If you know Herb and Amanda (and their boys) then you are truly blessed. You know they are always willing to help anyone in need never asking anything in return.

Their family loves Jesus!!! They serve faithfully in their church also having a ministry of their own traveling to sing at other churches around the community.

In December 2022, they found a large mass in Herb’s kidney and had a biopsy done. After many tests and referrals, they were certain it was a rare form of cancer and had surgery to remove his kidney in February 2023. While having his kidney removed, they saw he had a hernia and repaired it at the same time.

Once the surgery was completed, it was confirmed that the mass was indeed cancer, but it had been contained in his kidney.

Since then, he's healing slowly, and doing well after losing his kidney. They are monitoring him very closely for any signs of the cancer returning elsewhere through scans and blood work.

They have anywhere from 6 to 8 doctor visits a month to monitor his creatinine, GFR, lipase, blood sugar, blood pressure, and the list goes on.

In keeping watch, they discovered he has a skin cancer on the back of his ear. It is too deep to have it removed so he is currently being treated with chemo injections. We are praying for good results with this! So far, so good!

Earlier this month they discovered another hernia on top of all of this and had surgery yesterday (Friday 5/26) to repair the hernia.

They covet your prayers. It has been a lot on their family financially, spiritually, and emotionally. They are praying. They are trusting. They have faith. But they are human. And it's a lot on them.

We, as their family, are asking that if you feel lead to help them financially, please do. Herb will now be out of work for at least 3 weeks and on full restriction for a minimum of 8 weeks!
