After a long and courageous 5 year battle, Brian has gone home to be fully healed in the arms of Jesus. He was blessed with 5 years to work, travel, and enjoy life with his family before he was called home to Heaven on January 7, 2021.
In December of 2015, Brian was diagnosed with Stage IV lung cancer. His prognosis at the time was 1 to 5 years with the reality being closer to 1 year. However, with perseverance, courage, and great faith, he endured multiple tests/scans, blood draws, IV’s, Doctor/ER visits, biopsies, hypothermia treatments, chemo, radiation, immunotherapy, special diets, and numerous medications. Through it all, Brian remained faithful and steadfast in his relationship with Jesus. He continued to give God the honor and praise for His goodness and grace in his life.
The family takes comfort in these words from 2 Timothy 4:7-8: “I (Brian) have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith. Now there is in store for me the crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous Judge, will award to me on that day, and not only to me, but also to all who have longed for his appearing.”
Brian is survived by his, wife, Jill and their three children, Erik (19), Ella (16) and Eden (11).
The money raised will go towards $19,000 in medical debt as well as future college expenses for the children. Erik is currently attending Dakota County Technical College for architecture and technology.
