Lowcountry Blessing Box Project was created in 2017 in Charleston. To my knowledge there are no boxes in Bluffton or the surrounding area, with the exception of 3 on Hilton Head Island. We need boxes in the Bluffton area.
A Blessing Box is a “Little Free Pantry” which provided food and hygiene products to local residents. Food insecurity encompasses a lack of financial resources to obtain food for your household. Food insecurity is not knowing if your paycheck will stretch to feed your family before the next one.
The estimated cost to build a box is $300 for supplies, with volunteer labor.
We also have to purchase the food and hygiene products to stock the boxes.
We need your support to get this project up and running. Your donation will have an impact on families, children and seniors.
