My name is Ameta McIntosh Bowers, and together with my family, we are working to teach the children in our family and community the importance of service, empathy, and giving back. Inspired by the many scriptures in the Bible about giving, we believe it is our responsibility as adults to provide opportunities for children to experience the blessings of giving and to learn gratitude for what they have.
This Christmas, we want to raise funds to create Blessing Bags filled with essential items like socks, toothbrushes, lotion, and other small comforts. These bags will be lovingly assembled by the children and then personally distributed to the homeless and less fortunate in our community. Our goal is not only to provide much-needed supplies, but also to give the children a hands-on way to learn about gratitude, compassion, and showing love to others. While this project begins as a holiday tradition, we hope it will grow into something we can continue throughout the year.
Every donation, no matter the size, helps us put more Blessing Bags into the hands of those who need them most. Thank you in advance for supporting this effort and helping us teach the next generation the true meaning of giving.
