For over a decade, I received monthly Ipsy glam bags and saved each one with a dream in mind: to create Blessing Bags for people in my community who are experiencing tough times or homelessness. Over the years, my collection grew, and so did my vision. I wanted each bag to be more than just a collection of items—I wanted them to offer comfort, encouragement, and a reminder of dignity to those who might feel overlooked.

As I started planning, I realized the project had become much bigger than I could manage alone. Filling each bag with thoughtful items—like notes of encouragement, cash, and essentials from my Amazon wish list—quickly added up in cost. I also wanted to include high-quality shea butter and body oil, purchased from Etsy and a local shop, to offer a small luxury that helps people feel in touch with their humanness, even in difficult circumstances.
