Blayds Bar Defibrillator
Donation protected
2 years ago we called on your support to raise money to purchase a defibrillator in memory of our dear Robert to enable the bottom end of town to have access in the need of an emergency.
As part of the agreement with having a defibrillator is that once it has been used, it is either returned to the housing unit or taken away by the emergency services to then enable it to be cleaned and pads etc replaced before it can be used again.
Unfortunately a good few months ago the unit was taken for an emergency nearby and was not returned or taken away by the emergency services. Despite numerous efforts to try and locate and get it returned and serviced we have been unsuccessful!
Which leaves us with a dilemma!
We therefore have a defib box but no unit to be available in an emergency. This is especially upsetting as it was done as a tribute to Robert and to be honest, what good is it having the box with no machine inside.
We know previously it has been used and returned which demonstrates an essential need for such equipment.
We have managed to get agreement for a replacement machine which is going to cost £1000.
We have set up a Go Fund Me page to try and raise these vital funds and would ask if you are able to spare anything at all to help
Please click on the link to take you to our page
Alternatively please speak to Duncan, Simon, Gary, Sharon or Daisy to arrange to make a donation no matter how big or small. Everything really does help.
We would like to thank all of our Blayds Bar family for your continued support and hope we can get the defibrillator back and available as soon as possible.
