BLAQUK, we are a non-profit organisation led by young Black Queer people around the UK. We centre the needs for Black Queer young people as an organisation. Our aim is to uplift  Black LGBT+ young people and our wider community by providing a space where we can learn, flourish and be ourselves.

The purpose of this fundraiser is to raise money for our BLAQ Care packages, with essential items specific to helping in the conditions of the UK lockdown that has been devastating BLAQ Queer young people, disproportionately. Depending on how much we can raise, the care packages will include items from the following categories:

.Sanitary Products
.Hair Care
.Oral Hygiene
.Body care/washing products
.Fidget toys
.Arts and crafts equipment
.Food/snacks ( with consideration to allergies)
-Cleaning products
.Masks

We would like to reach our goal before the end of February, so we can send these packages as soon as possible. Even when lockdown ends, it is likely that many areas will still have restrictions and the effects of the lockdown will be everlasting, so even if we do not reach  our target by February, we can still provide these packages after.

As a Black Queer organisation, it would mean so much to us to be able to do this for our community as most of us on the BLAQ team are feeling the mental, physical and systematic consequences of the pandemic. We would be ever so grateful for the help, and any donations are welcomed. Thank you with all our hearts!
