Support for The Harrisons

Hi, my name is Sophie and I am raising money for Blake and Ellarna Harrison and their two little boys Lachlan and Darcy.

In June 2021, Blake was diagnosed with Multiple Myeloma — an extremely rare cancer diagnosis for someone of his age. At the time, his wife Ellarna was 35 weeks pregnant with their youngest son, Darcy. The diagnosis came with the discovery of four fractures in Blake’s bones, and he soon began intensive treatment, including chemotherapy and stem cell transplant, spending extended periods of time in hospital. The toll was immense — Blake even missed Darcy’s very first Christmas.

After showing incredible strength through that journey, Blake and his young family are now facing another heartbreaking challenge: a second cancer diagnosis. Blake has now been diagnosed with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukaemia.

He will be undergoing treatment in Newcastle over the next 12–18 months. Ellarna will be doing everything she can to hold her family together — travelling the two hours to and from Newcastle to be by Blake’s side during treatment, continuing to care for their two young boys, Lachlan and Darcy, and working when she can to support them.

This fundraiser has been created to help ease the financial burden on this beautiful family. Funds raised will support travel, accommodation, everyday expenses, and give Blake and Ellarna the breathing room they need to focus on what matters most — Blake’s recovery and their time together as a family.

Blake’s diagnoses are rare and heartbreaking, particularly for a young father— but with your help, this family won’t have to face it alone.
