Blackheath Rhinos supporting the Rhino!

Blackheath Rhinos Coaches, the none lazy ones, have decided to put their bodies on the line and run in the Royal Parks Half Marathon (9 OCt 2022) to help raise both awareness and, with your help, a bit of Funding to help keep the fight going for the Rhinoceros.

All Funds raised will be going to the Helping Rhinos Charity. They aim to help the species survive at sustainable levels in their natural habitat. Rhinos have been on the planet for 50 million years. However, they now face their biggest challenge as man restricts their natural habitat and kills them for their horn. They are perhaps symbolic of a struggle between man and the natural world.

The funds raised will help preserve or develop new habitats for rhinos and other species, protect rhinos from poaching, provide information and education on sustaining the rhino population to local communities and the broader populace. Blackheath Rhinos strives to be more than just a football club. Projects and courses like this go a long way in showing the culture and nature we try to foster inside the club with parents and players.
