The past year has been hell on Earth for me. I lost my job in July 2018, and I went an entire year without a place of employment. As someone who has always worked, it was extremely difficult for me as a man. My wonderful mother did all she could to support, and she continues to do so. But now I need the help of my family.
I received an incredible job offer to work at Meridian Public Charter Schools in Washington, D.C. This is my first “real” full-time job earning a competitive salary and high health benefits. I need your health. For those of you who don’t know, my father has never been a constant force in my life due to his own tortured pain and suffering. I’ve spent years in therapy dealing with that, but I refuse to pass up a beautiful opportunity for something as minuscule as a security deposit.
I need help raising the security deposit for my apartment. If you would donate whatever you can whether it’s $5.00, $50.00, or $200.00 I would be forever grateful. I have a week to raise this money to hold the apartment. I am in the process of rebuilding my credit, and this job will allow me to do so. However, it makes apartment/house hunting a challenge. The couple renting this apartment have been so gracious. Please let me know if you’re able to help. I would gratefully appreciate it.
