Black Community Nurturer
Donation protected
Hi beautifuls! I had to write this from my chest cause the layout here on GFM didn't inspire that at first so....
I’m seeking support to get training in some healing modalities I’d like to bring back to my community and other POC in the near future. As we process and unravel our grief and trauma in response to our very real and embedded experience in this America I want to have tools to hold space for us.
Ultimately this is to provide healing benefits primarily for Black people, prioritizing Black mothers and elders for the magic they hold and create that is often overlooked within our community. All kinds of bodies, all the genders, all the shapes, weights and uniquenesses will be received with loving intention and tenderness. Thereafter other folks of color and anyone needing or open to body work or other holistic healing modalities.
The skills I learn from these trainings will add to the knowledge and quality in care I intend to embody in my practice of nurturing. It will cycle back to folks who I know need and deserve to experience a moment of rest, of comfort, compassion, silent understanding and space to be cradled and nurtured.
Supporting me and this fund means descendants of the ancestors who built the structures on this land, who are indigenous to this land and who experience and accumulate excessive trauma existing on this land, can digest and release some of their anxiety and grief.
I hope to create a container for people in my community who deserve to be in safe, comfortable, nurturing spaces providing them with access to receive care from someone that represents them. It would mean fulfilling and uplifting much needed roles of representation for Black Femmes as healers and it will affirm and support my path to cultivate skills as someone who will hold spaces for healing and energetic shifts to take place.
Black people deserve a break, to be appreciated, to be held and experienced as sentient beings. Having this ask fulfilled would be an inspiration in knowing that others value and appreciate all the many contributions Black people have bestowed on our world.
