Black Children and Canadians Disappearing in Canada
Spende geschützt
**This is not a glitch in the system. This *is* the system.**
Canada does not have a national database tracking missing and murdered Black Canadians. That’s not an oversight. That’s the design.
We are building what the government has failed to deliver:
A smart, robust, national database—the first of its kind—dedicated entirely to Missing and Murdered Black Canadians (MMBC).
This public-facing platform will be **free**, accessible in **real-time**, and available to **families, law enforcement, journalists, educators, and advocates**. It will use data to track, analyze, and **predict patterns**—not only to help find the missing, but to expose the failures of a system that continues to abandon us.
It will include **permanent visual records**, **journalistic storytelling**, and a **searchable, living archive** of those taken from our communities—so they are never again reduced to footnotes or forgotten headlines to be housed on The Daily Scrum News website.
This is a massive undertaking. It has never been done before in Canada. And it won’t be done unless we do it ourselves.
Every day, another Black child vanishes in Canada. Another life unaccounted for. Another family left with questions and heartbreak. And still—**no coordinated strategy. No public outcry. No urgency.**
Our Black elected officials know. The communities know. And still, here we are.
**This is not just neglect—it’s an epidemic.**
We are not asking for permission. We are not waiting for Ottawa. And we are not interested in token gestures or soundbites.
At *The Daily Scrum News*, we are building a permanent, unapologetic, and independent digital home to:
- Tell the stories** of the missing with depth and humanity.
- Investigate and alert** communities in real-time.
- Build and maintain** a national MMBC database to hold power accountable.
This is journalism. This is data science. This is memory. This is resistance.
And we need your help to build it.
Donate today to help fund the tools, research, infrastructure, and labour behind this critical initiative. Every dollar moves us closer to ending the silence and confronting the epidemic head-on.
This is not about charity. This is about **justice**, **visibility**, and **survival**.
**Donate now. Share now. Be part of the movement that refuses to let Black lives disappear without a trace.**
We’re not asking Canada to care. We’re forcing it to.
Let me know if you'd like a short version, a poster version, or visual assets to go with this.
