I’m raising funds for Black Canvas, the Black-led organization I founded to consistently celebrate Black art, fashion, food, and culture. Through Black Canvas, I want to create spaces that honor Black excellence, inspire connection, and bring people together through networking, collaboration, and cultural celebration.
Right now, I’m raising money to host our first annual New Year’s Event Gala, celebrating Black Art and Black Fashion. This event is important to me because it will create a space to highlight Black creatives, celebrate Black excellence, and open opportunities for people to connect and build new bridges through community.
To make this gala possible, donations will go toward the real costs of hosting the event, including the venue, catering, decor, linen service, chair and table rentals, audio and visual services, DJ costs, printing for program books and posters, advertisement, security, bartenders, and servers. These are the pieces needed to bring this vision to life in a meaningful and welcoming way.
I’m hoping to meet this need by October 1st so I can secure what’s needed and move forward with planning. If you believe in celebrating Black culture and creating opportunities for Black creatives to be seen and supported, please consider donating or sharing this fundraiser. Your support will help Black Canvas plant strong seeds now for a more connected, empowered future.
