We are struggling to find the right words after losing our beautiful colleague and friend Petra, who passed suddenly in August 2025.

Petra leaves behind her loving husband and two beautiful children, a four-month-old baby girl and a four-year-old son. As we grieve this unimaginable loss, we are coming together to support Petra’s family during this incredibly difficult time.

Petra was the kindest, most gentle soul who brightened every room she walked into with her smile, warmth and laughter. She was also a passionate social worker, who always went above and beyond for her families. Social work was not just a job for Petra, but something she loved dearly and took pride in being a part of the Croydon social work team.

We want to hold her family close in whatever way we can, to help ease the overwhelming burden they now face. This fund will support them with everyday needs and give them space to heal, knowing they aren’t alone.
