Birthing Kits Assembly Fundraiser
Donation protected
Hello Everyone!
Are you interested in learning more about women’s empowerment and well-being? Have you wondered how we can make a difference to the health of women and children across the globe? Are you passionate about saving lives?
My name is Joanna Thomas Thomas and I am the University of Sydney GlobalHOME Sexual and Reproductive Health Officer for 2023. I am pleased to be collaborating with Sofia Rundback, the Macquarie University Vice President of Community Outreach. I am writing this message on behalf of the societies who have collaborated to make this event possible: Sydney University GlobalHOME, Sydney University Obstetrics and Gynaecology Society (SUOGS) and Macquarie University Clinical Science Society (MQ ClinSciSoc).
We are raising funds for Birthing Kit Foundation Australia to deliver sanitary birthing kits to pregnant women living in rural communities and low resource settings around the world. We are aiming to raise $4000, which will go towards the sanitary materials necessary to keep mum and bub safe during the birthing process. This fundraising goal will cover the cost of 800 birthing kits that can be distributed to women and girls in need of a safer birth. This has the potential to save 1600 lives.
To donate now please visit our GoFundMe at https://gofund.me/9e4d9a47.
