My birthday is coming up later this month, on the 24th February for those that are curious, and there are two things I ask donations for (lots of photos of what I have done in the past and captions at the end of this text, and yes, all the people in the photos have given their consent to have their photos taken AND published).

Continuous support of my neighbourhood pantry so that I can take better advantage of special offers at my local supermarkets for non-perishable goods like pasta, rice, flour, etc. Prices have risen considerably here in Spain, like everywhere else, and savvy shopping is now more important then ever but requires reserve in the “donativo box”. Last year it cost about 500 Euros/month to keep the shelves stocked even with the mere essentials, this year it is more like 600+ Euros. I am doing this now since nearly 5 years and I will continue to help my neighbours for as long as I can, but I need your support!

The second one is less urgent, but a lot of fun for me. Like in previous years I want to grow a variety of plants from seeds to distribute them to anybody that wants them via my “free plants box” before the house. Little money is needed to do this, just enough for seeds, soil and plant pots. Growing things and making unconditional gifts is what keeps me happy and sane in these difficult times. And the neighbourhood loves them too!
