...Birthday gift for Christine - 71 year old mum

Hi,

my name is Rob -- my mum's birthday is on the 29th November. I've been out of work for 11 months. She was told in December last year that she would have 7 months left to live. She has a rare sarcoma cancer - liver mets.

I thought it would be great if I could get her a gift - or a joint gift from some generous friends/family.

I am proposing something like flowers/books. Love to hear your suggestions.

She is currently doing well - and its a miracle that she has been put on a 2nd chemo and its working - and its set the clock back for her. She was so unwell last year - she didn't even get to celebrate her 70th. She got septic shock on her 70th birthday last year.
