We’re reaching out on behalf of our Ike and Serena Birkeland, who are in the progress growing their family through the beautiful and life-changing journey of adoption. As many of you know, adoption is a calling that takes deep love, patience, and faith—and it also comes with significant financial costs.

After experiencing numerous years of infertility, Ike and Serena are now excited to open their hearts to provide a safe, loving, and nurturing home to a baby through adoption. Now we have the opportunity to surround them with support as they take this next step toward building their family.

Why We're Fundraising

The total cost of adoption can be overwhelming, often exceed-ing $40,000–$50,000, depending on the circumstances. This includes everything from agency and legal fees, to travel, home studies, and various birth mother support. While they have already invested their own resources, your support can help make this dream

a reality—and ease some of the financial burden.

Agency Fees – $19,200 (paid)

Home Study – $3,200 (paid)

Legal Fees – $10,000

Birth Mother Support – $5,000 - $15,000

Post-Placement/Travel – $3,000 - $4,000

Other (misc or unexpected costs) – $1,000 – 5,000
