Thanks to our generous sponsors
and a crew of sensational volunteers, we successfully built the birdhouse for Arthur J. E. Wren in 2014!
Since then, Arthur and the Birdhouse have entertained guests of all ages and shared many a cuppa at events in & near the San Francisco Bay Area - Priceless, Figment Oakland, Treasure Island Music Festival and, most recently, Symbiosis.
Now we want to take Arthur's house on an epic adventure all the way across the country to The Art Shanty Projects.
Here, we'll perch alongside other participants on the frozen surface of White Bear Lake, Minnesota.

Our campaign has experienced some strokes of kindness! One of Arthur's greathearted friends donated miles for air travel, while another has provided a vehicle at reduced cost to our crew for the road trip to Lake Bear. Both of these gifts have made a big dent in our biggest expense (travel)! As a result, we've lowered our initial $6K fundraising goal to reflect this.
There's still some updates needed to make the Birdhouse Art Shanty-ready! These include weather proofing for the chill factor, replacing pieces we've lost in past events to wear & tear and adding skis to the Birdhouse base (yes really!!)
With 8 short days until we depart, we still have quite a way to covering our projected total cost of $7,659.74
Some of it is offset by a grant provided by the event organizers. But we're still short, so we've launched this new campaign to help us get the rest of the way there.
There's a new perk this go - an original photo postcard - for those who donate $20 or more (limit of 100). And we've got a few wishlist items to help replace items lost during our last run.
Here's our current working budget: http://tinyurl.com/zy3zh4a
We look forward to sharing a hot pour and a cozy perch! SaveSaveSaveSave
