About the Project
For the past three years, a team of committed volunteers from around the world at the Ummah Project has dedicated countless hours to documenting the story of Kalbinur Sidik (Qalbinur Sedik), a courageous Uyghur woman who witnessed the atrocities in the concentration camps of East-Turkestan before managing to escape to the Netherlands. Her powerful testimony sheds light on the ongoing Uyghur genocide, exposing the long history of discrimination and mistreatment that paved the way for the horrific reality the Uyghur people face today.
Why We Need Your Support
We are in the final stages of completing Kalbinur's book, but we need your help to bring her story to the world. Your donation will help us:
- Free up time for our writer and editor to work full-time and complete the manuscript within the next three months.
- Pay for translations of Kalbinur's interview notes and videos from Uyghur to English.
- Publish the book in multiple languages, including Dutch, German, French, and Turkish.
- Organise book tours and literary festival appearances to promote Kalbinur's story and raise awareness about the Uyghur genocide.
