BINNING KNIVES SAVES LIVES - Together We Will Reduce Knife

'Binning Knives Saves Lives' reduced knife crime by 34% in one of the most notorious boroughs in London in our first 6 months. We then went on to take over 1300 knives off the streets of London and out of circulation.

Although we had tremendous success making communities across London a lot safer, educating youths and spreading awareness nationwide, and turning at-risk youths lives around, we were ignored by our London Mayor and our government. Both of whom were seemingly embarrassed that we were acheiving better results than they were, and on minimal money too. This made the public and the media realise the true extent of the lack of concern and action by the authorities as far as violent crime and knife crime in London is concerned.

Due to their embarrassment and lack of concern, we were subsequently given no funding whatsoever, so this meant we were eventually forced to close down.

So now we want to ask you to help us reopen so that we can continue making communities safer by taking many weapons off our streets, mentoring at risk youths and gang members, and spreading awareness and education. With your help we aim to make the future of our society a safe one for ourselves, our children, and our grandchildren.

In order to do this essential work for 1 year, we need to raise at least £5000, so please support us and donate whatever you can, as we recieve no money whatsoever from anywhere, only from your donations.

This is a 100% community campaign. Together we can make things happen, as we have previousy proved. If we all get involved, we can make London a lot safer for us all.

WHAT DO BKSL ACTUALLY DO?

1/ We visit areas with our Knife Amnesty Bin taking as many knives off the streets and out of circulation as possible.

2/ We educate parents on how to make their family's safer and we make them aware of the dangers of knife crime and how they best protect themselves from becoming victims.

3/ We visit Religious & Cultural Leaders so they can spread the word to their community's and so we can unite them as knife crime is indiscriminate and affects everyone.

4/ We take youths from the streets and enrol them into positive ongoing activitys such as football and music workshops with others who were also taken from the streets, which makes them feel part of something and gives them a sense of worth.

5/ We visit schools and mentor youths making them aware of the dangers of being a youth in today's society and the consequences of carrying knives etc.

6/ We liaise with other knife crime groups advising them on how we can collectively reduce knife crime together.

7/ We pay for the children of parents in reciept of child benefits to do sporting activities.

8/ We run a knife collection service.

9/ We support many bereaved families.

10/ We visit gangs and turn their lives around by supporting them and enrolling them into courses.

11/ We've installed lifesaving bleed control kits in 100's of pubs across England.

OUR AIMS:

1/ We always aim to change the mindset of people as there is hope because if we all pull together we can make a massive difference.

2/ We always aim to visit different areas with our Knife Amnesty Bin taking as many knives as possible off our streets and out of circulation.

3/ We aim to visit as many schools colleges churches and mosques as possible to mentor youths.

4/ We aim to unite as many organisations as possible so they can do what we do in their communities.

5/ We aim to install lifesaving bleed control kits in every school, pub and club in London.

6/ We aim to make our streets safe again✊
