Hi my name is Lindsay Scott and i am fundraising for a amazing guy called Billy Irwin.

Billy has been part of the BMX Race community for several years and is friendly face at club races, regional and nationals.

Billy has always been fully committed to racing and when he's not with his family or working he will be training for upcoming events.

Billy has a lovely family, a lovely cheeky boy and 2 sweet girls. And a amazing wife call Frankie who is devoted to her husband and family.

On Sunday 17th May Billy was in practice at Nuneaton Round 3 Midlands Super Series, when he took a tumble on the first straight. Billy was taken to Nuneaton Hospital by a friend and there he was rushed into Resus and told that he has 7 fractured ribs and a puncture to his lungs. Billy was later admitted to ICU to be closely monitored.

Billy remains in hospital while waiting on a consultant’s decision on whether or not he needs surgery on his displaced ribs by a specialist at coventry hospital.

The reason for this go fund me is to raise funds for billy and his family. Billy is self employed and runs his own landscaping business. But with the injuries that he has sustained. He will not be able to return anytime soon. So this will cause financial problems and at a time when prices continue to rise in this country every thing is so expensive already.

The money raised will help with household bills and to cover wages whilst billy is recovering. Also travel costs for the family as the hospital is a few hours away from their home.

I will keep this page updated regularly with any information regarding Billy and his recovery.
