Billy VV For Mayor of Fawnskin!

It's true! Billy Van Vugt is running for mayor! And we need your help to elect him.

If you're unfamiliar with the charming hamlet of Fawnskin, Calif., it is the stunning North Shore side of Big Bear Lake. Fawnskin is home to The Outpost, and it is where Billy, his wife, Alyssa, and his sister, Jolene, live and play.

For 100 years, residents of this unincorporated community have elected their mayor in "the only honest election in the country." Residents of Fawnskin "buy" their mayor -- an honorary, non-governmental position, in an annual fundraiser. Whichever candidate raises the most money for the North Shore Improvement Association, a national non-profit, wins the election and holds the term for one year. The fundraising campaign ends Dec. 9, and the new mayor will perform his first "official" unofficial duty that evening by lighting the tree at the annual Fawnskin Christmas tree lighting.

We have less than a month remaining to make this happen!

Billy needs your donation to beat his opponent and become Mayor of Fawnskin. We are collecting donations here, and then all donations made to the Billy For Mayor campaign will be donated in one check to the North Shore Improvement Association (Fed ID #33-0502800). The NSIA will use the funds to improve Fawnskin, otherwise known as the North Shore of Big Bear Lake, with input from all who have donated. A former motocross racer, freestyle motocross athlete (yes, the riders who do wild tricks off metal ramps!), stunt performer, fabricator and event specialist, Billy has a passion for community building. As an owner of The Outpost, he cares deeply about the community of Fawnskin and will work to bring residents and visitors together to restore this 100-year-old town to the vibrant destination it once was.

With your donation, we can elect Billy and continue to improve the North Shore of Big Bear Lake. And let's be honest, Fawnskin with Billy as mayor is a More Fun Fawnskin.
