Hi my name is Melanie Denault, the photo above is of my sweet senior parents , now a little back story my mom Dolores just turned 70 on the first of this month and is in not the greatest of health she has extreme mobility issues as well as other health issues that require her to be on oxygen 24/7 my mom needs help getting up to move around and someone to be with her around the clock to help serve her meals so forth and so on my father 68 does these daily well working night shift and at night myself or one of my older children lend a hand with there nanny as my mom is retired and can no longer work and still recovering from a hernia repair bowl obstruction surgery that was very risky due to her size as she is a achondroplasia dwarf and that poses alot of risk when going into any surgery . Luckily with God's grace and many prayers she came through it safely but was in ICU for a week . so they are on a fixed income and get by as best as they can untill recently this passed Saturday november.29.th/2025 something unexpected happened flames and smoke started billowing from the bsmt and attic wall slowly creeping up into the attic and into the kitchen luckily it was caught early enough and we were able to get my disabled mother and my daughter,father and my spouse and there little dog Sheba to safety and the fire department responded quickly . Unfortunately the kitchen ceiling and kitchen as well as some of the attic and chimney and stair well took the damage and is destroyed in the fire and all power and water had to be shut to the home and no one was allowed to reside in the home so my parents being on fixed income has to move into there winnibego beside the home to get out of the cold elements and have somewhere to be able to call home for the time being well they wait on the insurance to access the damage and investigate before moving forward they were only able to take what they could out at the the time a few items like her oxygen meds and sleep apnea machine and since then a couple clothes items . They have had to purchase gas and propane for generator water to drink and wash up with and if there is anything else it has to come out of pocket and the insurance will decide if it gets reimbursement for said things they can not afford to sustain like that for a long period of time because of there income and my mother's complex needs so I'm starting this fundraiser to try to help alleviate some of there cost and hopefully get them back into home a lot sooner where she can be comfortable and have the amenities she needs . My parents are amazing people and have done many things for many people over the years and continue to even though they really can't afford to do it because that's just in there nature and they never ask for help or anything in return but pay it forward cause they taught me growing up that the good you put out has a way of coming back to you when you need it the most . I understand alot of people are struggling right now with the way the world is and definitely do not expect people to donate if they are unable to or do not want to all we ask is you could share this post to your family and friends ,share on your social media and see if we can help this beautiful deserving senior couple some help every little bit counts and Any help goes a long way.
