Aslında çoğu zaman okula gidemiyorum. Arkadaşlarım okul bahçesinde koşup oynarken ben bazen sınıfta camdan onları izliyorum. Kaslarım her geçen gün biraz daha güçsüzleşiyor. Bazen en sevdiğim oyuncağı kaldırmak bile zor geliyor. Doktorlar hastalığımın adına Duchenne Musküler Distrofi (DMD) diyor. Ben ise onu her gün biraz daha hissediyorum. Ama içimde hâlâ koşmak isteyen bir çocuk var. Bisiklete binmek, arkadaşlarımla oyun oynamak, merdivenleri yorulmadan çıkmak istiyorum. Annemin sesi, babamın desteği ve abimin şakaları bana güç veriyor. Onlar benim umudum. Şimdi ise sizin desteğinize ihtiyacım var. My name is Bilge Kağan Gökhan. I am 11 years old and I am in the 5th grade. Actually, I often can't go to school. While my friends run and play in the schoolyard, I sometimes watch them from the window in the classroom. My muscles are getting weaker every day. Sometimes even lifting my favorite toy is difficult. Doctors call my illness Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy (DMD). I feel it more and more every day. But inside me, there is still a child who wants to run. I want to ride my bike, play with my friends, and climb stairs without getting tired. My mother's voice, my father's support, and my brother's jokes give me strength. They are my hope.
