Help provide food for families affected by drought in Somalia this Ramadan.

Bilan Bakes started as a small baking initiative run by a group of friends in the United Kingdom who wanted to bring people together while supporting those in need. Over the past two Ramadans, we have used this initiative to raise funds and awareness to help families facing hardship.

Last year, with the support of our community, we were able to help families in Sudan, Palestine and Somalia. The funds raised contributed towards humanitarian aid, including a donation to Medical Aid for Palestinians, and supported food distributions organised through trusted local contacts in Somalia and Sudan who coordinated the purchase and distribution of meals for families in need.

This year we are raising funds again to support families affected by drought in Somalia. Many families are struggling to access basic food due to ongoing drought and economic hardship. The goal of this fundraiser is to help provide food distributions for families and communities who are most in need.

We are committed to being transparent with this fundraiser and will share updates, photos and evidence of distributions so supporters can see how the funds are used.

The photos shared on this page show examples of previous food distributions where meals were prepared and distributed to families. Funds raised through this campaign will be transferred to trusted local contacts in Somalia who organise the purchase and distribution of food for families.

All funds will be withdrawn to a verified UK bank account belonging to the organiser and will be used solely to purchase food and essential supplies for families affected by drought in Somalia.

We will continue to share updates, photos and videos so supporters can see how the funds are used and the impact of their donations.
