These two people would give you the shirt off their back!!

Trish's Mom says:
My thoughts are,  they both have huge hearts always worrying about everyone else!  It’s going to be a difficult road ahead because they are both hurt!  I worry about them taking the time to heal,

Because of finances and the fact that they are both head strong.  I have been beside myself because I can not be there as much I need to be to take care of them.  Because I have to work.    They have amazing family and friends doing everything they can to help.  I wish there was a way to get their house in order since it’s under construction,  I wish there was a way to get a hold of one of the home improvement shows to get the house in order,  neither of them like to ask for help.  (Both are self employed)

The Story:  (written by Trish) I’m terrified of how we’re going to maintain our bills until we get back up on our feet. We are both very prideful people so asking for help has never been either one of our strong suits. We have had an overwhelming response for prayers and thoughts it has truly been heart warming.

While attending motorcycles on Meridian Saturday evening in Indianapolis,  Dale and I decided to go home and take the long way for a joyful calming ride.

Dale had the bike on cruise control at about 30 or 40 mph and we headed home listening to music and enjoying the radio. Chris Stapleton on the radio singing Fire away.  Dale started to notice a car high rate of increasing speed was coming up behind us,  We were the left-hand lane.

Dale was really nervous that he was going to hit us so he moved over to change lanes into the turning lane and began to slow down, and let the person pass us out of fear the erratic driver  was going to hit us.

Dale looked one more time back to make sure we were clear then looked forward.   We somehow hit the concrete median, the person traveling at excessive speed did not stop. Both Dale and I were thrown in the middle of the street.

I can specifically remember the heat from the bike and tumbled through the street. I have road rash on my abdomen clear down to below my knees. And the top part of my foot is gone, tendons and all.

Dale has road rash in several different places as well, and his foot is broken.  I did not realize the severity of my own injury,  but I jumped up and ran to Him while he was laying on the median. He hit his head pretty hard and was not responding to me. I thought he was gone.

One of the scariest things I’ve ever witnessed in my life he finally came to and kept talking telling me that he was sorry and he was afraid I was going to get run over.  I’m just glad that I wasn’t laying in the middle of the road.

I was able to find my phone in the road and a woman had stopped to help us right about the same time the crash happened. she thinks that person may have clipped the back part of the motorcycle causing us to wreck that way but we’re unsure. She put some gauze or paper towel on my foot to try to control some of the blood because I was losing a lot of blood and she called 911 we do not know who this person is we never got her name and it’s not on the police report I wish I could find her.

Dale has broken his foot as well as several bruises and scrapes he’s in pretty bad shape. Neither one of us are allowed to be walking or moving around on our feet. I was released 8/28 and the hospital is sending a home health aide to help me maintain my dressing changes on my wounds in my bed. And the same for dale.

I will have another surgery in 4 to 6 months to remove the pins I’ve been inserted into my toes to hold my toes to the bones in my feet. We also get an artificial skin graft to see if that will help if not I’m gonna have to have a skin graft from somewhere else on my body removed and put on my foot. If dales foot doesn’t heal right he will most likely have to have surgery as well.  They discharged him from the hospital so he’s at home at the moment he’s being cared for by our son Peyton and daughter Callista my sister Raquel came today to help.

At this time our house is a construction so we have no kitchen in the living room our house is in complete shambles. But both of us not being able to work and do what we do best for our companies.
