28th Annual BO Bike-A-Thon

Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc. was established at Cornell University, Ithaca, New York on December 4, 1906.  The Beta Omicron chapter is the 58th undergraduate chapter of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc.    It was founded on May 12, 1934 at Tennessee A&I College, now Tennessee State University, in Nashville, Tennessee.

The men of Beta Omicron are actively involved in various activities on the campus of Tennessee State University, and in the community of Nashville. We are asking for your assistance in executing our annual Bike-A-Thon, a civic project that the men of Beta Omicron have conducted since its inception in 1989.  During this event, chapter members ride bicycles 250 miles from Nashville, TN to Memphis, TN by way of Highway 70.

The purpose of the Bike-A-Thon is to raise funds to support various local and national  organizations.  Since 1989, over $18,000 has been raised and donated to local community centers. This year, all contributions collected will go toward Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity Inc.'s Alpha Disaster Relief Fund to help those affected by Hurricane Harvey.

"This fund aided in the Fraternity’s ability to support those brothers impacted in 2005 during Hurricane Katrina, and I am confident this resource will assist those brothers and their families now battling the impact of Hurricane Harvey." - Bro. Everett B. Ward, Ph.D., General President
