On July 1st of 2024 I underwent a quadruple coronary artery bypass graph surgery. I was a relatively health individual who had completed a marathon the previous March. However, due to genetics (and eating a southern diet as a kid), I ended up with Coronary Artery Disease which caused blockages in my arteries. Had I known I was at a higher risk earlier I could potentially have prevented this. I want to raise awareness of this disease and make others aware of the ways it is preventable.
