Biggin Hill Church Road Playground Improvement Project
Donation protected
We are the Friends of Biggin Hill Parks, a local group of volunteers caring for our parks and green spaces in Biggin Hill. Following a recent petition and the launch of a public survey relating to the current state of the playground at Biggin Hill Recreation Ground we are leading on a playground
improvement project.
We applied to the Council’s Platinum Jubilee Parks Fund and were successful in securing £20K towards our project. Unfortunately, £20K won’t get us very far and we are looking at other fundraising options to realise our vision – the more we raise the bigger the impact we can make on the playground.
Residents have told us that they want to see more accessible and sensory pieces for the site. The well-loved Typhoon has come to the end of its life, and we are looking to put in it's place a sliding Track Rider. We aim to include a fully accessible Trampoline suitable for wheelchair users and people of all ages as well as creating a toddler sensory area with accessible and inclusive items.
We need your help. Your contribution will play a crucial role in helping us create a safer, more inclusive and engaging environment for children and young people in Biggin Hill, fostering physical activity, community cohesion and personal development.
Please support our crowdfunder today to help us to make a valuable difference to the playground for children and families in the area.
Every little helps – thank you!
