Hi, my name is Jayden Pohlman! I am a part of Shippensburg University’s 2025 homecoming court, and I am raising money to support our campus food pantry, Big Red’s Cupboard!

The cupboard is a grant-funded and donation-run pantry available to students needing essential food and hygiene items. Nearly 3 out of 5 college students struggle to care for their most basic needs, and the cupboard was created to support students so that they can focus on learning without facing hunger and lack of resources. It is completely free for SU students to use!

Ever since I was a child, my parents have instilled in me the value of giving back to our community. One year, a family in our community lost their house to a fire, so we gave them a bunch of meat from one of our beef cows that we recently processed. It makes me so happy that our cow could be used for such a good cause and provide them with food after they lost everything.

Consider donating to Shippensburg University's students so that they can have access to essential food and hygiene items through Big Red's Cupboard. It would truly mean a lot to our campus community if you supported this cause.
