Every child deserves a gift and a moment of joy, especially at Christmas.

Hi everyone,

This year we want to do something meaningful for families across Manchester who are finding things difficult.

Christmas should feel magical, but many parents are struggling to afford even the basics.

With the support of the community, we are turning the back of our recovery truck into a Santa’s Grotto on wheels and using every penny raised to buy presents for children who might otherwise go without.

What your donations will support

All money raised will go towards buying toys, games, books, gifts for the grotto on the truck.

The team at Big Jim’s Recovery will be visiting a minimum of three different locations across Greater Manchester on three separate dates to hand out presents in person.

We will let everyone know beforehand which are we’ll be in so nobody misses out

Every pound donated will be used to bring joy to local kids. Updates and videos will be shared so everyone can see exactly how the donations are being used.

On each of the planned dates we will visit a different area of Greater Manchester and welcome children to come along, meet Santa and take home a present. There is no cost to families and no requirements. This is simply our way of spreading positivity and bringing some Christmas spirit to our local communities.

Why we are doing this

We meet many families who are doing their best in tough circumstances. Big Jim’s Recovery also has a growing social media platform that reaches millions of people each month. If we can use that platform to bring smiles to children who need it most, then that is exactly what we want to do this Christmas.
