'Big D' (David)

Hi my name is Ryan and I want to tell you a bit about our amazing father and Grampa Dave (or 'Big D' as he is affectionately known to all of us). I know that I could be biased in saying this, but he is truly the most amazing person we have had the joy of sharing our lives with! Big D who is 76 now, is the most humble and gentle human who not only passionately cares about his wife Lulu, 3 children and 7 grandkids but who will 'give the shirt off his back' to go out of his way for anyone who has had the pleasure of making his acquaintance. Until now, he has still been attempting to make ends meet by running his small Floor Sanding business in South Africa.

Tragically, his medical benefits have ceased after a lengthy fight with cancer (Melanoma) due to multiple treatments and surgeries. He is now faced with the unenviable decision to have his arm amputated at the shoulder unless he can raise funds for other possible life-saving immunotherapy for his arm.
