Bidgee Blues & Roots Club Fundraiser
Donation protected
The Bidgee Blues and Roots Club has been around since 2006 promoting not only blues and roots music, but live music in general and of all genres. The club has supported and encouraged many people, young and old, to perform to a live audience. More than one musician has had their first opportunity to perform in a professional setting at the club’s open mic afternoons, and have gone on to greater things.
Over the last few years, during the Covid era and beyond, the live music scene has changed considerably, and it has come with a whole new set of challenges. The club has had to move from its long established home at the Home Hotel to a number of alternative venues over the last four years. We have now found a new home at the Farrer Hotel which we hope will become our new long-term home.
Part of the challenge of keeping the live music alive and club viable is the financial cost of producing live music. This involves a lot of hard work by the volunteers on the committee, but also, we need professional equipment. The club is currently working to procure a new PA system of a professional standard so as to provide the best experience for both the members and aspiring musicians.
In order to do so we are raising funds to purchase a new PA and other equipment needed to produce exciting live music. If you love to experience live music, we would greatly appreciate your support. Any donation, large or small will assist the club to keep live music alive in Wagga and the Riverina.
