Talking to Children about COVID-19 & Donation
Hey Everyone!
Over the past couple of weeks, I've taken the time to create a storybook about COVID-19. My goal was to create a story that isn't scary to kids but shows that with the proper measures taken, we all can make a difference. By making a donation you’ll receive a digital version of this storybook that can help you talk to your child about COVID-19.
This campaign is made in the hopes of raising money to help our vulnerable population during this crisis. 100% of proceeds will go to United Way Centraide Canada. United Way is a nonprofit organization that is doing exceptional work to ensure that seniors are both isolated and protected as our communities respond to COVID-19. They're providing access to basic needs such as food and shelter while supporting community services by finding help for seniors in need. If you're someone like me who is currently not working and want to try and help out where you can, then any donation towards their efforts is appreciated. More information can be found on their website.
Now about the book:

Instead of COVID-19, the virus our main character, Bibby, must deal with the "Meenies". The Meenies like to make big messes in people’s houses, which is a terrible thing for the kinds of people who are unable to clean up after them. Bibby, her Mom and best friend Tim-Tim do everything they can to make sure the Meenies don't get a chance to make messes.
The measures our characters take are similar to the ones we all are taking right now: washing your hands, cleaning and social distancing. If you are interested and wish to make a donation today - then a PDF version of the book will be sent via thank-you note. To limit the amount of exposure and keep this cost-effective, only the PDF version will be available.
