Thanks for taking the time to visit our Risk Covid-19 fundraiser focused on the NY region which has become the epicenter of the pandemic in the US and where the majority of our colleagues in the US work from. This page is to request sponsorship for Risk colleagues based in the US and named below. This effort follows a broader BI Risk Leadership team global initiative with fundraising pages set up for other regions including Wilmington, London and Mumbai.
We are requesting your sponsorship to donate to the Robin Hood Covid-19 Relief Fund. Every dollar, pound and rupee counts and importantly, Barclays will match what we raise in the aggregate. To make your donation even more worthwhile, members of the BI Risk Leadership team have each made a "working from home pledge" to support us in helping our communities in the face of the challenges presented by the pandemic.
We will keep our fundraising pages open until mid May, at which time we will close the fundraising and share video/photographic evidence of all the team's efforts, as well as a grand total of our fundraising.
These are challenging times, with some real pain, loss, and sadness but many of us are in the privileged position where we are able to make a difference to organizations on the front lines. Thanks in advance for your contribution to this cause that is needed in such unprecedented times.
More information about Robin Hood Foundation: Robin Hood is New York's largest poverty-fighting organization. We find, fund and create over 200 of the most effective programs, to help 1.8 million New Yorkers learn and earn their way out of poverty. Because our board of directors underwrites all operating costs, 100% of your donation goes directly to organizations helping New Yorkers in need. Robin Hood has set up a Covid-19 Relief Fund to support nonprofit organizations on the frontlines and donations will provide emergency support through food, housing, job security and more. To date, $11.6m has been distributed to 156 organizations. A list of orgs who have already received grants from Robin Hood for Covid-19 relief efforts is available on the website.
