Be Our Community! Help Dre & Cheyenne Secure a New Home

About Dre and Cheyenne...

We are so many things. We are individuals, hard workers, community members, people of faith, and most importantly, we are parents! Parents to 4 beautiful children whom we love and care for and want the very best for! Everything we do, we do for them!

Four months ago, we lost our home through no fault of our own. Our landlord found himself without housing and we were given notice to leave because he intended to move back to his former home. We were month to month and had no choice. We have been living in a hotel since then, working hard to save and find a more permanent home. Well, we found one, but we need $2300 for the first month and security deposit. It's been hard to save money because living in a hotel isn't cheap, but we have managed to save up $1000 and we are hoping to raise the remainder and a little extra for moving expenses.

We have 4 children, ages 9, 5, 6, and 2. They are our heart, our joy, and it's hard not having a home for them. Our 5 and 6-year-olds are also Autistic and children with Autism need a great deal of structure and scheduling. Living as we have been has been hard and children with Autism take time to adjust. We are hopeful that we can move into the home we have found this month, so that the kids will have structure as the new school year starts.

Because our children are young, only one of us works outside the home. Mom works at home, doing hair for additional income, but that income has been lost because it's not something that can be done in a hotel.

It's hard to ask, and we debated on doing this, but honestly, we need help. We have tried all the traditional avenues and have not had luck. It truly does take a COMMUNITY!
