Love for Lily

Charlottesville lost a loving father, great friend, and pillar of the restaurant community when Josh Zanoff passed this week.

Josh impacted all those who knew him because he worked tirelessly to improve every situation. Seemingly everyone we hear from has a story of Josh - from helping to fix a broken cooler in the middle of a Saturday night dinner rush to him taking a chance on an industry newcomer to him helping someone in need get their life back on track with a job and a boss that above all, knew that hard work was the solution to most problems in the world.

Lily was the light of his life, and he spent every free moment he had supporting her - he became a passionate roller derby fan, a devoted guitar-practice-listener, and spent every chance he could with her in the kitchen, passing on his love of food and the joy of cooking to her.

With the loss of a parent, we are fundraising to ensure that Lily has her needs covered - specifically to assist her and Genevieve for the next few years and make sure she has as many of her college expenses covered as possible. We are heartbroken at the loss of our friend but truly cannot imagine what Lily is going through, and we are so appreciative of anything you can donate to help ease the burden.

We will gather for a celebration of Josh's life on Sunday, June 5th, from 2-6 pm at the Bebedero. All are welcome to join and remember our friend.
