Hi, I’m Seb — a devoted husband, a father, and someone who’s spent the last 11 years trying to right a heartbreaking wrong.

When my son was just 2½ years old, he was abducted and taken abroad to a country where the UK has very limited legal jurisdiction. Since that day, not a moment has passed without me thinking of him. We had a beautiful bond, and having it torn away so suddenly left a pain that words can barely express.

Despite every obstacle, I’ve never given up hope. I’ve done everything within my power to remain a presence in his life — legally, emotionally, spiritually. But almost 11 years, I had no contact at all. That silence has been the most difficult part.

Recently, something has changed. A development has given me a small but significant opportunity to reconnect — not just with my son, but for him to finally know his father and the wider family that loves him dearly and has missed him every day of his life.

To take this chance, I need legal help. And sadly, the cost is more than I can manage alone.

Due to the court battles I fought in the past — and the emotional and financial toll they took — I ended up in an IVA (a form of insolvency). I’ve exhausted all traditional routes of funding. Legal Aid is not available to me due to the strict income thresholds, even in a case like this.

This is not something I ever imagined having to do — asking for help like this — but I have no other option. I’m reaching out to my community, to anyone who can help, to ask for your support in covering the legal costs needed to fight for my right to be in my son’s life.
