BFDG Sponsored Walk 2023

The British Film Designers Guild invites members and non-members to join a 15-mile sponsored walk around Newcastle on Sunday 30th April. Taking in the architecture around this beautiful City, walkers will have lots of time to network with their peers and ask questions about working in the Art Department in an informal context.

Money raised on this walk will be used for the BFDG travel bursary, which aims to support juniors and newcomers with public transport or petrol costs for those who would otherwise find them a barrier to entry into the Industry.

The walk will start and end at The Grey Street Hotel lobby, 5mins from Newcastle train station.

The route will take in sights, architecture and cakes/icecream/cocktails as needed and will include locations such as:

Last year's Glasgow amble took approximately 12 hours to complete but you are of course free to walk at your own pace. A route will be provided before the walk.

We encourage each team member to raise a minimum of £50 per person. Anyone interested in joining the team should get in touch with the organiser for more information.
