Why: A 2022 report from The Trevor Project revealed that 28% of LGBTQ youth reported experiencing homelessness or housing instability at some point in their lives — and those who did had two to four times the odds of reporting depression, anxiety, self-harm, considering suicide, and attempting suicide compared to those with stable housing.

Urban Peak is the only non-profit organization in Denver that provides a full convergence of services for youth experiencing homelessness between the ages of 15 and 24. Urban Peak provides youth with strengths-based case management, access to physical, mental, and behavioral health care, education and employment opportunities, 24/7 crisis support, and a place to call home.
