Beyond the Finish Line: The Final 4x4x48

Donation protected
Hey everyone,
I am Tristan Jones and this is my fifth and final year taking on the David Goggins 4x4x48 challenge. On Friday, March 7, 2025, I will embark on this journey one last time—running 4 miles every 4 hours for 48 hours straight. This challenge has tested my physical and mental limits over the years, but more importantly, it has served a greater purpose—to raise awareness and charitable support for Jessica’s House, a sanctuary of solace for those in deep grief. As I take on this challenge for the final time, I want to make this year the most impactful yet. I am pledging once again to match all donations up to the first $1,000.00.

One of the most meaningful aspects of this challenge has been the overwhelming support from my friends, family, and the community. Over the years, I have been truly humbled by those who have come out—whether to run alongside me at all hours of the day and night, cheer me on, or generously donate to this cause. This challenge started as a personal test of endurance, but it has grown into something much greater. It has become a collective effort, fueled by the kindness and generosity of so many. Each mile has been made easier by the friends who have joined me on the pavement, and each year has been made more meaningful by the donors who believe in the mission of Jessica’s House. I could never have done this alone, and I am beyond grateful for every person who has been part of this journey.

About Jessica’s House
Jessica’s House provides a safe place for children, teens, young adults, and their families grieving a loss. They offer peer support groups for:
Parent and Sibling Loss
Hope after Homicide
Hope after Suicide
Hope after Overdose
HeartStrings (for infant and pregnancy loss)

Support groups combine therapeutic talk, play, and creative expression, which promotes healing and hope for the future.

The Story Behind Jessica’s House
Jessica’s House was created by Erin Nelson, who experienced the profound loss of her husband when her children were young. Inspired by the Dougy Center in Portland, Oregon, she gathered key community members with shared grief experiences to create a peer grief support center for children and families in the Central Valley of California. Jessica’s House was named after Jessica Everett, who passed away from leukemia at the age of nine. Since opening in Spring 2012, Jessica’s House has been a guiding light for thousands of families.
Jessica’s House is a testament to resilience, compassion, and unwavering support. For over a decade, it has provided grief support at no charge to families in need.
I hold in high regard the tireless efforts of all those at Jessica’s House. Their dedication to healing hearts and nurturing spirits is truly inspiring. I am humbled and privileged to stand alongside such a remarkable organization in their noble cause.

From the bottom of my heart, thank you—to every friend who has run with me, every person who has encouraged me, and every donor who has contributed to this mission. I couldn’t have done this without you, and I am honored to share this final challenge with all of you.
