At Destawed, our daily lives are filled with the magic of "I do." We spend our year weaving together the traditions and heartbeats of South Asian families to celebrate a new beginning.

However, our most cherished tradition has become the one we share with a group of incredible young boys in Punta Cana. Based in the Dominican Republic, this foundation has spent over 20 years transforming the lives of vulnerable boys, supporting boys from the age of 3 years old all the way up to 20 years old. Through a whole child approach, they provide more than just food and shelter; they offer the emotional healing and vocational training needed to thrive as adults. Their belief is simple: a child's past should never limit his future. By replacing hardship with opportunity, they are raising the next generation of leaders in their community.

Last year, we sat on the ground with the children of A Better World Orphanage, and the atmosphere was transformed. Because of your kindness, we didn’t just see an orphanage—we saw a home filled with laughter. We saw the tangible spark in a child’s eyes when they realized they had the tools to learn and a community that believed in them.
