Beyond Prison is a program offered by Christian Heritage, a non-profit agency. The Beyond Prison program is designed to help kids stay connected to their incarcerated parent. Beyond Prison provides parenting and relationship classes, as well as opportunities to further the parent/child relationship. One opportunity inmates can earn through the program is to send a DVD home to their child. The Beyond Prison team takes children's books into the prisons and parent inmates are given the opportunity to pick out a book for their child(ren) and record a DVD of themselves reading the book. The DVD and the book are then sent to the child(ren).
These books, once received by children impacted by incarceration, often become their favorites, and the DVD is watched over and over. This program depends entirely on the donation of new books.
The Beyond Prison program benefits hundreds of inmates and their families across the state of Nebraska each year. Our goal is to raise enough funds to purchase at least 500 new books to put directly into the hands of children and help to unite families with the power of reading!
Because Usborne Books and More will match our donations, after fees a $10 donation will sponsor the donation of a $15 storybook.

$100 - Sponsors 10 Books
All donations will be accepted and all funds collected will go directly to the purchase of books for the Beyond Prison program.
