As the COVID-19 situation unfolds, food banks across the world have struggled with the increased demand. Did you know that before the coronavirus pandemic even started 1 in every 6 Ohioans didn’t know where their next meal would come from? These numbers are expected to increase significantly over the coming weeks and months.
On a typical day, the Mid-Ohio Foodbank provides 140,000 meals to hungry people in central and eastern Ohio through 680 member agencies. Since they expect the demand to increase, the Mid-Ohio Foodbank has formed the COVID-19 Emergency Fund.
As a group of Bexley students staying home, we brainstormed the ways we could help out — and settled on the Bexley Virtual Festival. We invite you to help us fundraise for the Mid-Ohio Foodbank.
