Hello everyone, I’m reaching out with a heavy heart. My family and I are going through a very difficult time, and I’m doing my best to stay strong for my newborn baby. Since giving birth, things have been extremely hard. I’m currently not working and don’t receive maternity or EI benefits because I was outside of Canada for over a year due to health and family emergencies. We have no stable income right now, and I’m unable to get any credit or financial help from anywhere. My husband is a Permanent Resident, new to Canada, and still learning English. He’s a hardworking plumber and construction worker from his home country — honest, reliable, and willing to take any kind of work (daily, part-time, or full-time) to support us. But finding stable work has been very difficult for him. We’re behind on rent and struggling to cover basic needs like bills, groceries, and baby supplies. I’ve applied for help through community programs and other organizations, but so far, we haven’t received any response. Every day feels like a battle to keep our home and care for our baby. Any help — a donation, a job opportunity for my husband, or simply sharing this page — would mean the world to us.
