Weʼre raising £1,000 to Help Bethany get out of SAH and into a community setting where the right people use the right approach to allow to live a normal a life as possible
On the BB4 radio show fileon4 it highlighted the case of Bethany. Bethany is 17 years old and is in a hospital in Northampton. Bethany is in seclusion and has been for 21 months in a room that is 10 x 12 foot, her food is passed to her through a hatch. Her dad reports she has been assaulted twice by staff, has part of a pen in her arm due to selfharming after being given it by staff, she has now started having seizures and can't have a MRI to investigate due to the pen. Bethany is now diabetic due to overfeeding and due to her long term seclusion has imaginary friends.
Bethany has sad that
If I went somewhere else it would mean a lot to me as long as it was somewhere I felt safe and secure. I'd feel a lot happier
Lets make that happen. All money raised will be used by Bethany and her family for support , care and any legal fees needed to get her out of this heartbreaking situation. This a persons life. Bethany deserves a quality life, in a safe secure environment with her family nearby
